At first glance, the BLEACH BLONDE BEACH BABES seem like a paradox. The founding members are neither blonde nor do they live by the sea.
Their sound, on the other hand, is unmistakably shaped by surf and psych-rock influences: Driving garage rhythms, dreamy melodies, and punky-pop vocals backed by the warm guitar sound of the late ‘60s. A ride into the future with the sound of the past: these are the BABES.
Founded in 2019, the band has performed various shows in and around Zurich. Highlights include the sold-out release show at Langstrassen-Kultur and support for Endless Boogie (US) at Bogen F.
In addition, four first singles were released on popular streaming platforms in 2021/22.
The band is working on their EP Below the Horizon which was set to be released in spring 24. Unfortunately, the process had to be interrupted due to health problems. The planned EP and other new releases are expected to appear in fall 25.
Currently, the band is playing a number of new songs live, which make for a diverse, exciting, and dynamic live performance.
